Tapa Cat Rescue is home to approximately 35 adult cats who we were unable to find homes for … out of close to 1,000 kittens and cats that have made their way through our doors in the past 10 years. We are so grateful to our Fundraising Coordinator, Danielle Tremblay, our monthly sponsors and the ongoing support of so many generous donors who have helped us so much along the way.
We love being able to provide a home for cats that would otherwise be living on the streets. It does however require a huge financial commitment for their day to day needs. This past year many of our “older” residents have required dentistry, which is costly but necessary to ensure they are not in pain with rotten teeth. Yesterday morning one of our residents was in an emergency dental situation requiring immediate surgery. Thanks to Dr. Jim Gillis at the Bedford Highway Veterinary Hospital, Graydy was rushed into surgery and the problem tooth was removed, along with several other required extractions.
We are urgently low on funds and would be so grateful for any donations towards the care of our rescues. Donations can be made on our account at the Bedford Highway Veterinary Hospital, by email transfer: firstname.lastname@example.org, through CanadaHelps.org https://www.canadahelps.org/en/charities/tapa-cat-rescue-society
or by mail (Tapa Cat Rescue Society, PO Box 272 Superstore Mall, Lower Sackville NS B4C 2S9).
If anyone has any suggestions for a fundraising event (no matter how small), we would love to hear from you! Thank you so much!!
